This Ramadhan it's my task to buy kuih-muih for iftar. So everyday on my way back home I'll stop by at bazaar TTDI. Although it's quite hectic with all the swarm of people, scarce parking spots, normally I'll be in and out in less than 15 minutes. I already have in mind of what to buy i.e roti john, murtabak, popia and air kelapa, I know where to buy and I also have enough change for the stuff I'm gonna buy. Same food. Everyday. Cause they're easy, they taste good, I like them, and my family like them.
But this evening, I decided to try something new, breakaway from the same pattern. So I walked a bit further ahead and spotted kuih bakar. I bought it with a question in my head: How is it gonna taste? Didn't really matter actually, it was cheap.
And it did taste good. I'm glad I bought it. My family liked it too.
So the thing is, change itself is actually good. For better or worse, we'll never know unless we try.
Tomorrow I will try another new kuih. Maybe I'll buy those greeny stuff I've been eyeing for some times but never buy cause I don't know its name and don't have the guts to ask. Seriously, it looks weird.
